I just started in a DBT group this week. It seems a bit intimidating right now. I dont know if Im practicing real skills or not...though I label them as such in my diary card/journal. I guess I will find out Monday when I go back. I am going to stick with it! Anyone else done DBT that maybe could help me out.

I'm largely through a 20 week DBT group, that I've found very helpful. You really have to practice the skills though and do the homework to get the most out of it.

It's really helped me a lot with mood regulation, and stopping some of my more self destructive impulses.

If it's anything like mine, you probably are and even if you're not, you're new and figuring things out. I wouldn't worry about it if you can control that.
