Sounds kind of exciting! I'd love to see my T on TV. Did it upset you or was it a good thing?
Thanks for this!

The important question did you record the interview?

Just an FYI if you are interested I'm sure if you contacted the TV station that interviewed your therapist you could get a copy of the story for a small fee.

Did you get a good look at her? That's the one reason I would want to see a pic of my T, so I can get a good look at him and finally after 2 years know what he looks like...lol.

I saw T on tv once with a client. Wasn't a good thing...especially as it was in the beginning stages of therapy. My jealousy and insecurities went through the roof that night. He had to do major clean up that night. I freaked.

I remember that. I remember thinking, really? where do y'all live that your T just shows up on teevee like that? I couldn't believe it. I should apologize. i'm sorry I doubted. and i'm sorry I wasn't more supportive that night.

Hi Granite1,
It is okay to bring it up with your T. i know it seems like you have more information than you should have. i was at one of my friend's homes for the weekend a long time ago. Her older sister wanted to go out. So my friend and i tagged along. In the car the sister decided it would be fun to get this other girl to come too. Would you believe the girl we were going to pick up was one of my T's kids! Completely numb and out of mind and body i went along. i even saw her house and went in the door where you can take off your wet clothing before entering into the main house. T's daughter was delighted and we quickly left.
So embarrassed i was not ever going to mention it. My next session i said nothing. The session after that however, she brought it up. She said she had hoped i felt comfortable enough to bring it up last week.
i was so embarrassed again i am surprised i did not wet the couch. She spent the rest of the session trying to calm me down. In the end she behaved as if she had not met me before. If your T was on TV chances are one or two other people have seen her too.
PS. Seeing your T outside of the office is so much like seeing your high school English teacher in a bathing suit at the beach, or your dentist. It is so hard to remember T's are people. No matter what you decide all will be okay. Remember to breathe.
