I wanna quit t...but I have commitments that wont allow me to do so. One I have to see a T to see my current Pdoc and DBT group requires we have an individual therapist. Im just having a hard time finding things to talk about. Although maybe going back over DBT stuff would be good. Just thinking out loud. Thanks.

Yep, talking about DBT stuff is good. Sticking with the therapuetic relationship is even better. It is a roller coaster experience that most of us are more than willing to jump off or quit. We're scared of what will be required of us when we stick to things to the end of the ride . . .Why? Because in most cases we don't have the "stick-to-it-tiveness" that we need to have to create good solid relationships with therapist and/or theray focused communities.

We prefer to stick our head in the sand and ignore what is going on around us. We dismiss abuse situtations at "being so long ago, you need to get over it." or "That sounds really weird. Are you sure it happened?" or " YOu never said anything when we were growing up. How come you're talking about it now thirty years later????" . .. All we have to do it look at the Sandusky trail . .. The outrage and pain isn't about a few people missing the "signe". . . it is about ALL of us, the mass majority of the US population refusing, looking away, ignoring and/or just plain being oblivious to what has happened to so many of our young, both male and female. It's time for all of us to step up and speak up.. . so hard. So isolating. So not appreciated.

Talk about why you want to quit T with T :-) If it makes sense to both of you I am sure T will help make it right with PDoc and DBT group.
