I showed T a pic of me at about 7months old. I am laughing and said I find it difficult to relate that laughing to what we know about my very early life.

T said "when babies are neglected they either go psychotic like those Romainian babies we saw in orphanages, or they learn to over engage for survival". She then said "I find you very engaging and don't know how your step mother was able to resist that".

I actually liked that T said that.
Thanks for this!

ha...for me it's good! I usually get a smirk on my face before I read your posts, even though I know that you are serious most of the time. It's your phrasing I think. I like it.

To me engaging means interesting to talk to; a willingness to be interactive and to give back; that those interactions are enjoyable; an appealing person that one is drawn to, that draws me in with thoughtful conversation. Yep, that's you.

I always look forward to reading your posts, I know it's going to be off-the-wall, in-depth, out-of-the-ordinary, intriguing, and yet completely relatable, insightful, and relevant.

I'm glad that happened for you! And I agree with what everyone has said! It is true!
