I have an appt with a new T on Tuesday. I am starting to dread it. I don't like meeting new people. I barely like talking to people that I already know!!!! I have only had one T as an adult. I don't know how anything works at this new office. Blah.

Just take it slow. Your new T should know that starting is hard and will probably just try to get to know you and let you get to know them..

Good luck
Thanks for this!

Good luck, but I'm sure you'll be fine 'A stranger is a friend you haven't met' and all that jazz!
Thanks for this!

The good new is it's only the first time the first time. It's only brand new that first time. After that, you'll no longer be a complete stranger with the T. You'll have seen the office. You'll know how the office works. Yeah, I hate first times too, can you tell? Take a deep breath and walk in the door.
Thanks for this!

Sounds like you need your pockets filled with some riders!! Jumping in! I know it is not the ideal situation, but you can do it and get through it!! GL!

The hard part was making the call. Now just show up and be your charming self. They could be the greatest person you have ever met. What is that saying....."picture them naked"!! Oh no, wrong scenario. Don't do that!!!
Thanks for this!

This is interesting. I am mostly concerned about whatever is going to happen before I go in for the session. That's the part I can't picture & it is driving me nuts. This is anxiety and trying to predict every damn thing that will happen.

Because I am OBVIOUSLY the first person with anxiety to go to this guy's office, right? Just because it says OCD/Panic Disorder/Anxiety on his web site doesn't mean that he has any idea what to do with someone like me. I swear. I mean really, what would I even have to DO to be the person who did the strangest thing that's ever been done in his waiting area? Odds are good that I couldn't even dream it up if I tried.

I really appreciate the posts.

I'll pocket ride with you both. Hopefully, your appointments are spaced enough apart that I won't get all stressed out jumping from one to the other.
Thanks for this!
