Hi Everyone,
I had kind of a down weekend. I slept a lot during the days and couldn't sleep at night. Things got worse this afternoon. I had thought I could see an intern therapist for like $5 at a local therapy center where I go to a free support group. She really seemed like a good fit, she knows about DBT as she runs groups as well as working with other approaches that I know work with me. Then she left me a mesage saying that she only has two openings and they're both on days I'm at the program! So she's out. Guess I hve to keep looking. It's so hard to find someone for such a low fee, yet I don't feel like I could start work right now. I just hope I can find someone.

Sorry to hear she did not work out. I hope you find someone too. Didn't you just get a case manager to help you or perhaps the day program people could help.

I'm sorry to hear about your difficulty finding a therapist.
One thing I would do would be to ask the intern T to call me if her schedule changed. People stop therapy and schedules change all the time. She might have something open up before you find someone else. I also would ask her if she has any ideas about where you could find a T. Best of luck, EJ |

Eliza Jane has a GREAT suggestion; I would definitely second the advice to ask the intern T if she can call you if she has a cancellation or an opening.

Adel could you ask the intern if she could *possibly* reschedule one of her other clients? considering the fact that it is so difficult for you to find a T? just wondering. good luck!
