I DON'T OFTEN READ ABOUT SPOUSAL ABUSE On this forum and therapeutic interventions. How I attach to my T, transference, issues of trust, safety, might be different than childhood abuse. Although there must be similiaries. Plus I'm still in my abusive marriage. Diagnosed with anxiety and ptsd, with some Stockholm syndrome to boot, have completely attached to T and experience Et feelings, although that Seems to be maturing into a more secure relationship. Is anyone dealing soley with domestic abuse ?

My marriage used to be somewhat abusive, but we've both worked hard to come out on the other side of that. I wasn't abused as a child.
Certainly, my feelings for T would spike at low points in my actual relationship, and he helped me push it to the point where either the abuse stopped or the relationship ended. You're definitely not alone. |

did you read the top sticky in the Relationships and Communications forum? It's a 10-page sticky about dv, and on page 2 there is a good link. I think a lot of the people aren't around that posted in the sticky, but it's a pretty good read anyway.

Quote:
People do post about their relationship breakups, but they generally don't mention any abuse.
