I told my T I hated her while she was building her world. After watching my T for awhile, building a world in the tray since I refused to participate, I finally began adding every gate and fence she had to border and block off her world away from one corner, where I barricaded a tiny bear in the corner behind the fence, along with two cannons and a machine gun. After I did that, T moved all of her figures to the perimeter of my gates to watch me (bear), and she tried to hop a rabbit around the gates into my space. I threw the rabbit across the other side of the tray.

I think the point was clear.

She put him back on the perimeter behind my gate. And she asked if the bear needed a machine gun.
Thanks for this!

Seems like everyone gets to do sand t this week. Maybe my t is in vacation in a beach and will want to do done sand stuff whenshe gets back. Not that I would be happy about that, I have trouble with any if the "play" ideas. I'm not good at play, I don't know how. *pouts*

But out does sound fun when everyone else is doing out and I'm safely hiding behind my computer.

Interesting how the imagery plays out though. And I laughed reading her reply about the machine gun. I would be rely impressed if she has a machine gun sand toy.

lol she does. It's not a huge thing its just a tiny finger sized replica, but it is a machine gun. And I stuck it in the sand next to my bear. But not at her suggestion. I ignored her when she offered it, and waited a few minutes to pick it up.
Thanks for this!

I think it's a Jungian thing.

I did one once. I built a big hill and put me on top of it. A few other people (eg W) were relegated to the corners. And that was all.

I think that is a great way to do therapy.. Although, I just don't see how I could do it!! I am glad that T got your message and you were able to convey your feelings through the use of sand play! Good job!

This totally makes me want to throw someone's rabbit. I'm a bit jealous.

It is really not as hard as it sounds. I didn't even play with it for awhile, I just watched her and knocked down what she was building with my toes for most of our session.

She participated bc I would not talk to her. At all. The first words I spoke were "I hate you." She replied "I know" and kept building her sand world, while I kept messing it up.

I did not participate until she added a single gate to her world, at which point I slid off the couch to the floor and added all the rest of the gates in and put my little bear on the top of the mountain behind the gate. I was trying to terminate but she's so insuffrable telling me she wouldbe waiting for me anyway. Then my feet led me there anyway and I was angry that I was weak and I went when I didnt want to, so I wouldn't talk. I wouldt even throw stuff at her, even though she gave me the "throwing" toys to do so and normally I get a kick out of throwing the nerf balls at her head. I wouldn't interact at all. I admit I was being a little *****.

edit: I actually found a figurine that represents her in my mind. I will show her on Monday. It is the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella. lol. Think shell be offended?
