Silent, That reminds me of a book I read in High School, I forget which one, but it is a "literary classic" about the industrial period or something, and made me a vegetarian for the longest time...!

My problems have been mostly personal, but I just found out our board of directors wants to shut down the satellite office location. That could possibly put me out of a job. I've got to focus on something mundane to get my mind off this.

chopin, wouldn't they put you back or move you up (or across)? I think they know how bright and capable and valuable you are.

tsol, I l0ve the couch with the built-in hug! and the red dot looks like fun for our inner children to jump on!

wolfin - it's on the tip of my tongue, there's 2 writers with almost the same name, only switched first and last name.

Wow! I assumed you worked in an office building, but it looks more like a riding school.

And I see you are secured by ADT.

Wow ...if I where being treated or referred to as a subordinate who did not do my work correctly, I would not really follow the person in charge either.

( Used to be head of staff so I can understand why there maybe a wipe they are picking up on and why that way of thinking may not benefit you in the long run) Sorry

Lola - You are a very talented painter.

Silent - I agree. Food, Inc. has made me pick food differently! Don't watch Super Size Me if you like McDonalds and don't read "The Orchard" if you like apples.

Welcome Wolfin3

To everyone who decorated I love them all! And the zoo animals in the cart = awesome. Why don't they make grocery carts more fun? People might buy more if the carts were fun!

Chopin Uncertainty is never easy

Hi CE!

I am stuck at work until at least 6pm. It's been a semi-produtive day.

Hey, pbutton, did you notice that you have been a member longer than me, but I beat you to 2000 posts? Not that I'm competitive or anything. I am more loquacious, huh?
Thanks for this!

Hey everyone. I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking these people are horrible. I'll PM you guys details tonight when I get home on how I found out in being watched. I checked NJ state laws and it's not against the laws to have a camera as long as you tell the person you are being taped. They didn't tell me- it just slipped out by accident.
I pity the fool who has to watch that tape.
There's a job worse than yours.

I do work in an office building. Beside a group home that we don't own (what you see in the pic). Across from the airport. This is the building. Yes I am aware it has a lot of roof.

The two individuals are not following the orders because my boss and I are trying to manage from afar. When my boss and/or I am at their location, they follow things to the letter.

I do not call people subordinates to their face. I am rather well-liked where I work exactly because of how I treat people...with respect.

And we can't use a damn bit of it.

Ex-boss set me up one day in regards to the roof. She called a guy about purchasing an old tractor-trailer container to use for storage. The day they set up to meet, ex-boss had an "appointment" and I had to meet him. He asked me where we wanted to put it and told me how much it cost. I told him we could not afford his price. He looked at me funny and said, "Well, why don't you buy that shed off the box company (located off to the left side of the pic)? I said, "We own that." He turned his head the other way and said, "Well, why don't you use the attic?" As I opened my mouth to explain why we couldn't, he said, "Have a nice day, ma'am."

And that was the 842nd time I wanted to kill ex-boss.

Okay. Caught up. I like the rooms and the furniture selection.

More importantly, Chop, I will pray that you keep your job. That feeling is horrible.
