ethical T's will not share revealing information, though they may seek out consultations, even if they have releases (unless it's for continuity of care in the moment).

unethical T's... well, they just suck anyway, so they do whatever. I knew someone trainign to become a T, and she regulalrly divulged confidential and identifying info to my wife and I (she was a friend of my wife's). I was appaled and ended up getting her academic supervisor as well as her clinical supervisor's numbers and letting them know that this woman was breaching confidentiality regulalrly. I believe she was not able to continue her studies... Had I not said anything though, I doubt that too many people would have crossed her (she was very unstable), however I doubt that she would have gotten through her training without someone picking up on it (it was pretty obvious if you spent any amount of time talking with her)...

Skywoulf, I'm sorry to hear that happened. It sounds like a really aweful situation, and horrifically unprofessional... I hope you were able to take action against that T and the practice.

nope no recourse whatsoever. and to make matters worse, I cant even stop going because of the fear that someone will tap away on their happy little keyboard and ruin what little is left of my life out of spite.

I mean they have bloody well taught me that I cant trust them. I stopped taking my meds because now I have no way of knowing that they aren't trying to murder me. it has happened before. a prescriber in a CSU that I had a personality conflict with prescribed Haldol to a heart patient. if that is not attempted murder, I would like to know what is.....
