Children, both minors and adults, withstand divorce all the time. It might not be happy for them but it would not break them. Give them some credit here.

I apparently came to the conclusion a long time ago that emotional stuffing and people pleasing are really, really good ways to fit in with the world, then promptly forgot that might cause a few minor issues (like chronic self-doubts, moodiness, social phobias, the assertiveness skills of a sedated doormat, an impressive hole where self-worth ought to be, and hiding it all under a quirky sense of self-deprecating humor, not that it's obvious lol).

In my case, it seems to be bullying and people giving me conflicting or invalidating messages that started it.

May I have a hug, please? (I mean, if that's ok and I'm not imposing)
