What has T said to you that was most difficult for you to believe?

For me: "You're a pleasure to work with."

i think lately it is that i am not a horrible person and i dont need to punish myself

Why would you find that difficult to believe, CE?

For me it would probably be: "It works, even if you don't believe in it" (regarding EFT) It took her ages to convince me of that one.

Hmm, the two that pop into my head are that I'm not a bad person and that I'm not doomed to be depressed forever.

This is an excellent question. ExT said various things that were hard for me to believe, and which turned out to be largely meaningless. With current T, I think it's when he says that everything and anything is OK to bring up. I mean, I do believe that he means it, but I can't believe believe it; I keep worrying about saying too much or saying the wrong things and things like that.

We're in the very difficult and uncomfortable, for me, topic of body image and physical appearance. I told him, I'm not going to find a romantic partner because think I am grossly unattractive, and he said that we need to start working on my feelings about that beginning with the fact that "It isn't true". I don't believe him.

Mine would probably be teh samething as I posted about the most caring thing that he said. He would be in this for the long haul, he would never refuse to treat me, etc.

I have a hard time beliving people won't leave me (especially men).. So, I hold on to his words and read that e-mail a lot it hopes of it really sinking and that I can belive that statment.
