I only look at the woman when I am angry.

In a conversation with another human being, yeah - I tend to look them in the eye. With T, it's more difficult. It seems the more emotional I am, the harder it is to look him in the eye. The T relationship is different. But in normal life, if someone can't look me in the eye when I'm talking to them, I'm outta there!! Something's seriously wrong ....

This post made me laugh because it was something my t said (we've finished the sessions now). We were talking about perceptions of others, she said she could take the fact I only looked at her twice, once when entering and once when leaving, 2 ways. She could either think that I didn't respect her, or the truth which is that I was uncomfortable bareing my soul to another person. I can't remember why we were on the subject of perceptions.
But I laughed when I read someone only saw their t s feet! I tend to check out patterns on the floor. Her floor had a weird pattern in the wood effect that looked like a tiger eye. There were 34 on the floor. Also they really needed to clean the skirting and hire a better painter lol

It's odd because the first yr with T ( been with her 9yrs now) I was able to look at her. That's when I was just skimming of the top of my emotion dungeon. Then I guess when I got to the first real level of hurt I wasn't able too and even now am only able to look when I am in my adult mode. But no, the child in me cannot.
