Aww TC, I'd talk to you.
But I know how you feel. Whenever I'm at my grandparents house or somewhere and I'm bored or no one's talking to me I always want to read off my braillenote, which is like a computer with braille for the blind (as opposed to what I'm using now which is text to speech) so yeah it's basically the same as you reading off your ipod. My sister would always take my braillenote away from me though. She said it was rude! So annoying!
So maybe we'd both be sitting in the corner reading side by side if we ran out of things to talk about.

I would be the awkward quiet one on the sidelines.

I really feel like I give off an unapproachable vibe, both on here and in real life, so I think I would just stand around by myself until I either got the courage to try to talk to someone, or just leave. Depends on my confidence level that day. I am a nice person, but I'm so painfully reserved that no one really knows I'm not cold unless they give me a chance. Note to self, work on this issue in therapy...

I would love to meet you all but would never approach anyone first.
I think you would probably pick me out right off - certainly after I said a few words.

Seems like there would be a lot of us sitting around the edges. I would be the one sitting in an empty corner or somewhere that I could have my back to the wall and switching between reading a book with my headphones on and analyzing everyone.

I do enjoy being in situations with new people, although they do end up tiring me out. I am myself pretty shy and get overwhelmed in a group of extraverts (which doesn't sound like what we have here ). In a small enough group I'm ok with being the one starting a conversation -- I'm an INFP, so I'm quiet but I do enjoy getting others to talk.

I have given a vague description of myself once or twice, so no one would really know me by appearance. But you might recognize me by the dry deadpan humor.

Actually, I saw someone on the subway this morning that caused me to do a double-take, because she reminded me so much of Chopin99. It made me wonder, what if I WAS sure it was Chopin? Or someone else on here? Would they be freaked out if I tried to introduce myself IRL? Or would they love it? An interesting thought.

(For me -- I'd love it!)

Nah, on my second look I realized it definitely wasn't her. Plus she looked like a commuter and not a tourist -- I know Chopin's down south, and I'm a damn Yankee

I would be friendly and talk to everyone but your preconceived notion of an older woman with a walker would probably keep you from hanging or talking with me. Sad huh?

Hey now, one of the people I miss most in the world was an older woman with a walker.

My grandmother was a religious lady, and we would all go out to lunch sometimes after church (except my mom, who is areligious and Sunday was Mom's Alone Time), and since I was the only other female, I was always the one helping her when nature called. Since I was the oldest child, the one helping her by default if my dad had to do something like get the car. I miss having that extra bit of time walking with her at her pace, just us.

I'd totally hang out with you! And thanks for triggering those fond memories of my Nana

I would probably have to be coxed of the couch.. I am quiet at first, but when you get to know me.. I am a bit of a suprise. I think that is how I started out here on the couch as well. I am not sure many people would recognize me, as I haven't really posted too many pics of myself. Some of you would, though.. I hope! lol I am a pretty forgetable person.

I too, would probably be quiet at first, but once coaxed out, I am pretty fun to be around, (I hope...) But sometimes, being around too many people at once is overstimulating to my still healing brain, so I would probably leave half an hour into the festivities, so that would be how you would know who I am...the first one to go running for the door!! (LOL)

This is sounding like a wall flower gathering...If no one was willing to interact, I would have to leave as I would start to think I did something to cause the lack of interaction and get all paranoid. LOL

Like there wouldn't be more than one "Carrie" in a crowd of us, who could lock the doors with a glance??! I'd be under the table at first with a young John Travolta, but i'd come out eventually, and we'd all have a real good time

I'd totally be Carrie. But I'd shower us with candy and cookies instead of hell fire.
