What most closely describes your mental health situation or diagnosis?

The poll is MULTIPLE CHOICE so you can pick more than one answer.

Could you give an example of what you are asking? I don't understand. I don't have a diagnosis of any sort. Probably middle class ennui or whining. There is nothing really wrong in my life except feeling bad.

I picked the one that actually causes me problems. There is another one listed up there, but I don't think of it as a mental disorder. It's just who I AM.

This wasn't meant to be a philosophical debate....just what/who you are based on current social understandings to give us a better idea of who frequents here.

I think of myself as mentally healthy, which wasn't listed as a possible "mental health situation."
I think I have a diagnosis of ADHD (also not listed), but I'm not sure.
In therapy I work on family, relationship, and communication issues, grief, finding greater life happiness, etc.

Besides bipolar disorder, I deal with PTSD (not on the list).
Thanks for this!

Besides Anxiety, OCD, and eating issues (and, really, the OCD and eating issues are from anxiety, so it might be more proper for me to just say anxiety), I also deal with PTSD

I don't think of myself as sick any more.
I'm a bit different, and a bit insecure.
But isn't everyone?

Me too!

Most patients are middle class, so maybe that is their real problem.

I'm dysthymic.

Secondarily, I'm schizoid. Technically I'm supposed to give up this label and adopt "autism", as the two are considered mutually exclusive, but I like schizoid better. And I don't think they are mutually exclusive anyway. That's dumb.

Filled out the survey, but also have to add PTSD to the mix as well.

Anxiety, with ADD, possibly dysthymia, but T didn't think so. Recently discovered transference for PDOC, which is driving me to drink. It sucks.

I've been officially diagnosed with Dysthymia (low-level long term depression) and Borderline personality disorder. I have an atypical borderline personality, here's a good description...

High-Functioning, In-Acting: generally able to hold a job, keep things together; generally will “keep their cool” in a public forum like the workplace but will lash out him or herself in private over their anger and frustrations unspoken.

I'm mentally healthy; no diagnosis. I'm in therapy to talk about some experiences I've been through and because I enjoy having an additional support outlet. And I'm on the forum because I've become absolutely fascinated with the therapy process.

I haven't been diagnosed with anything other than depresson. But the mental health nurse thinks I definitely have PTSD, but she has to write reports on our appointments and then I will see a mental health doctor who will make the diagnoses. But she now thinks there is a strong possibility I have a mood disorder, which she will report and the doctor will decide whether I do or not... It's complicated
