I started therapy fairly recently (about a month ago) and last week my T mentioned some things that kinda scare me. She wants my to see a Psych because she thinks they can better help me with my biggest problem; depressive episodes that seem to go away just as quickly as they come.
My parents are supposed to discuss this with her, but I know for a fact that my mom absolutely hates that kind of stuff because she thinks that I'm going to have to take a bunch of medicine that will only screw me up even more. This just makes me even more worried. What if it doesn't go away because my mom refuses to let me try medication? Also, will I still be able to see my T if I need to? She said that I'll see her next week, so that's a bit reassuring, but I'm not sure how long it will last. I really don't know how this sort of stuff works... |

I would chat with your therapist about your concerns and of whether you would continue therapy with her
![]() As for medications, there are positives and negatives to them. The psych will be able to go through them with you and your mum to work out what is best for you ![]() |
