I sent a message to a school counselor today. Looks like I'll finally be going to see someone after years and years of sadness. I decided to finally go after talking to my faculty advisor. It's hurting my schooling and I really want this PhD, I can't mess this up. I'm going away on a trip but will be going soon after I get back. I'm nervous.

(((((((((((((David))))))))))))))

Such a brave, but good, move. I know those feelings of nervousness. It will go just fine, though. The first time or two should just be alot of info gathering with short answers...not always though, but usually from my experience and what I've read from others.

You go guy!

Keep us informed ok? We're here. GL on the trip, btw.

KD

It takes a lot out of you, to work up the courage to go and speak to someone.

That's excellent looks like I'm going...

David, good luck! I have to say that if I could go to therapy every day, I would! I love therapy... it is very balancing for me.

Have fun on your trip and let us know how it goes!

I understand that this must be somewhat nerve racking for you, though please remember that the therapist is only there to help you he/she will not be judging you in any way...
Best of luck,
Jason

I'm glad you are seeking help. It does seem a bit daunting until you get there and actually meet the person. Have fun on your trip. I look forward of hearing about both the trip and how your session went. Take care.
