I have not seen my T for 4 weeks now . He is on a medical leave. My case worker is helping some . But I feel that our marraige therapist is trying to help focus a little bit on me too right now . He is proud of me for getting thru and handling things with my dad this past month and other stressors with out having my regular t sessions. I know at times I have lashed out because things did become too overwhelming for me emotionally and mentally to handle. Sometimes only getting 4-5 hrs sleep a night the past month. Still I have survived this . I came thru, smiling again, caring, laughing and enjoying life the best I can . I just hope it continues. Marraige T helping out too~

Hi Tryin2BMe,

I'm sorry your T is out on medical leave - sounds like a hard time for him to be away. I'm glad you have some other support systems in place, with your case worker and the marriage therapist, and they are able to help out a little bit while your T is away right now. It sounds like you have a lot on your plate, and I hope you are doing some nice things for yourself to help you get yourself through these difficult days, too....maybe listening to music you enjoy when you're in the car, or enjoying a walk when you can if possible, calling friends to say hello, or looking outside the window to enjoy the trees or birds. I find that it helps to find ways to take good care of myself during these difficult times. At least for me, it can help me get through it all.

Thinking of you and wishing you all the best....keep hanging in there!

Take care,
ErinBear

It's good that you have such a strong support system, and that you can use it when you do become overwhelmed. We all get to that point, imo... being overwhelmed. I find it's a good thing to let others know this, for instance, stating, "I'm overwhelmed." or "I'm really upset right now."

Yes, it's amazing what we can get through once we do have good advice and support. It isn't easy, it isn't fun, it's always work... I'm glad you have made it through... you have had a tough row of late, I agree! TC Marraige T helping out too~
