To get us back on track, I have another moment I think of fondly with my T. I had a horrible time the session before, and spent hours afterward shivering and feeling awful. I was talking to my T about it, and he asked what he could do to help me feel more settled before I left. I said if he could just touch me so I didn't feel so alone and so repulsive and repugnant to "normal" people. Then I froze because I was afraid he would take it in some creepy way. But he didn't. He immediately asked if it would be okay if he hugged me, I said yes, and we had this long, warm hug.
Thanks for this!

T (with a rueful laugh): Yes, I know. And I'm trying to help.

does it sound strange, at that moment I could feel that she cared about me, about my healing...? it was easy for me to laugh too. it was a memorable moment.
I like this writer - and he seems to know about the kind of exchange T and I had, and what I received from her in that moment.
