To start with it was very awkward for me, she started of by saying that she knew we hadn't seen each other in a long time, and that she was sorry for that.

She told me that it will take a little more than a month to hopefully get back to my weekly schedule .

I didn't make much eye contact, she knew the schedule was causing anxiety and questioning the relationship , but she assured me that things would get back to normal.

We picked up where we left of, how to be honest with our emotions. UGHHH . That got me pissed. She liked that I expressed emotions.

The session was pissy and now I have to wait 2 weeks to continue this crap.

The homework is to write down what I feel. WTF

Awe Sweepy! I feel for you. I would be really frustrated by that session, even though I know she's trying and seems to be doing her best. It's just a really bad situation between her schedule and your life right now. HUGS!

I swear I wished we all lived close sometimes and could go have a drink and vent for a while!
Thanks for this!

Sweepy...

I'm glad you finally had a session with T even if it was awkward. I hope you do the homework. Emotions, when you're not used to being aware of them, can be difficult at first to pull-apart and label. However, I found the more I was able to do that...the better able I was to manage them to a happier, healthier me...and experience them and still feel "safe" w/ them. Hope that makes sense.
Thanks for this!

If it were me, I would just take a break until the schedule became regular again.

Sweepy that sounds incredibly hard - fair play to you for doing as well as you can in it though, it sounds like you engaged.

leah, that would be awesome, we would be our own therapists , I bet we would have fun or at least, feel less stressed. Yes she is doing her best, I just needed to let those feelings out in that office, and she did see them. Its not just the schedule its everything, The schedule just put the icing on the cake.

You know, that exact same idea came to mind, I survived for a month and 4 days without her. I was going to suggest that today, because this is like an emotional rollercoaster, to go back, and have to wait 2 weeks, with all these intense feelings of negative emotions

That is really hard, I'm sorry you're still in limbo like that! It takes me weeks to recover from missing one session so it almost seems like a waste to go just once a month. Hope the time passes quickly until you can have regular sessions again.
Thanks for this!
