Power is out already. It's going to be a long cold weekend. Lots of wind, total white out. Icky.

RTS-I'm sorry you are feeling that way. I'm feeling much that same way the past 2 days or so. Not only does it lead to more of the same feelings but also rage. Just wanted to let you know you are not a lone.

I'm still holding out hope that I don't lose power, but that it is bad enough that I can stay home tomorrow.

I thought fried pickles were overated. Fried okra, now that is the ticket. Actually, any kind of okra is OK. even slimed.

My grandmother used to make watermelon rind pickles. They were pretty good. She didn't believe in wasting anything. You should have seen her put up corn. She would cut the corn off the cob, then squeeze every drop of corn juice into the pan she could get from the cob. It makes me smile to remember that.

I am not a fan of watermelon rind pickles. Watermelon itself is possibly my favorite food ever.

Ugh, I figured you must have lost power. It looks real nasty up in your neck of the woods, please stay safe!!

H just went out to clear off the first foot of snow. White out here too, can hardly see the apartment building half a block away, just dim square ghosts of lit windows.

Hey couchies! Just dropped in real quick to say g'nite and stay safe to all those affected by Nemo! Stay safe and warm. Also, does anybody know of a good 'learn to sketch' book? I just have this urge lately to get a sketchbook and some pencils and go prop myself under a tree and sketch something outside. Specifically, an old fountain here in town that I just find very beautiful.

Fell asleep before 8pm tonight.. That is why I am currently awake. It is STILL snowing out. Although, it looks like it is pretty light snow at the moment.

Hi Healed, Tractionbeam, Apt, and anyone else who is around and about at this time.

I saw your thread Tractionbeam and was going to reply (but I'm just about to dash off again for a while and thought I'd come back to it when I have time and could give you a more thoughtful reply). It's such a shame that your former T was so unhelpful.

It's 10:45 am and I have not yet had any breakfast. But the cat is sleeping so peacefully draped over my arm, I don't have the heart to wake him up....
Thanks for this!
