My T says when I'm manic there's not much point

in having a session as there is nothing he can do to help my mania....Well, he can listen to ramblings, damn it! He might even learn something.
I think I'll brng this up next week. See what he says.

I was manic and didnt realize it last February. A doctor that I work with pulled me aside and said" Cynthia I think you are in a manic phase, maybe check your meds and see your P doc." I wish someone would have pulled me aside sooner as I made some bad decisions including selling my house and going to china. so dont think that people cant help . Just by being told that i was manic by someone that i respect made a difference. I then went to my doc and although it took some tweaking of meds, I am finally better. And I miss my old house so much. what a shame.

on the other side of it. My sister goes manic and wont admit or face it. She rambles on and on and rants. I just listen and dont know what to say. She gets angry if i tell her that she needs meds or is ill. So I listen like a good little sister and support her as she rants on for hours sometimes. It is very sad.

Cant T help you contain your mania?

I don't know, he reckons there's not a lot he can do. I tend to get aggressive when people even suggest I'm not well. idk but i'll metion it anyway.

Why is there an option to remove hugs from a post? Seems a bit mean to me. "Here have a hug, I feel for you. On second thoughts I take that hug back"

My T tries to direct me to get information about my mania, and how bad it is. T needs to parse it together for the most part and checks when my appointment with pdoc is, makes it sooner if need be. T checks with my husband, if I'm safe at home he drives me to T.

My T does that to a point but he's psychotherapeutically he can't do anything to alleviate the mania, just let meds take there course.

But surely even a misguided hug doesn't hurt...
