Hi gang!

When was the last time your T did something you didn't expect?

Mine is a bit plodding and predictable.

All the time lately. Mostly it's been awful stuff that she's said though, rather than something nice. Earlier she used to surprise me by saying , doing, or offering something positive as well sometimes and she never surprised me with anything that was negative.
Thanks for this!

Meaning you expect a surprise at every session? Yep, this time more than others. Does that mean she never surprises me?

Not really. Mine is fairly predictable which is just fine for me.

Yesterday at my session...T dropped a bombshell on me and said "let's talk about blah". I wasn't ready to talk about it, and haven't brought it up much in the past.

I never know what to expect from my T, then again, we are still getting used to each other, only been going about 2 months.
Thanks for this!

I don't know what I would consider a therapeutic surprise to be. Perhaps her speaking in a comprehensible manner on a relevant topic might surprise me. But no, I do not believe the woman has surprised me.
Thanks for this!
