I'd say it's liking the particular comment.

As in... "I don't like Kesha that much, but I like her last album".

As I said, as veteran of debate boards, I can AT THE SAME TIME argue with the person on one thread and heartily agree on other (and tbh, I too often just comment/like/thank on a particular comment, without really knowing who is the person O.o).

Also... you really think that you can say "I like you" to a person by clicking a button? If so, we are doomed as society.
