Hi Everyone,
So you all know, the group is taking off very well! We already have 15 members and only need 15 more to be able to have a forum which would us to be able to organize and follow subjects a little better. But already we're having great discussions and sharing resources! Thanks to all who have joined, I hope if others are interested they'll stop by as well!

Thanks for joining Sweepy!
Iota, it's ok to ask anything you want. My thinking was to c create a group for people who have experience with or want to learn about any therapy approach that is considered by either the therapy world or them to be creative/ nontraditional. Ideas that come to mind for me are the creative arts therapies, art, music, drama, ETC... body psychotherapy like bioenergetics, Hakomi, other forms of bodywork in therapy, Somatic experienceing ETC... energy psychology like healing from the body level up. I'd include internal family systems here too, though I don't know much about it I know many people on here have therapists trained in it. From what I've read/ experienced it uses imagination/ meditation so I'd consider it nontraditional/ creative although it's becoming very popular, and maybe one day won't be so novel!
So I wanted a place where people could discuss/ ask questions/ share their experiences with these therapies, share resources on finding practitioners/ schools/ training centers and just be a place where like-minded people could come together for support.
I hope this answers your questions. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask. And thanks for joining even before knowing about it, that's a couragious thing to do!
