Everytime I hear Blondie's Atomic it makes me think of my T Especialy the bit that goes "Your hair is beautiful" He's got beautiful long curly hair.
Thanks for this!

Nice topic! Ok my T is probably on the other end, because it's the music of Gustav Mahler that reminds me of him!

I wish I had a ringtone for my t but alas I do not know her number

I also now have Confide In Me in my head. Awesome song and so t appropriate. And she sang it to you!

Not sure what mine would be. Perhaps something by PJ Harvey. Angsty and the like. Though that's more me in therapy than her

Jazz, as he always listens to jazz before I arrive and turns the music off when I go into the room and the session starts.

Thanks everyone.
Tinyrabbit I wish my T listened to jazz as I love jazz, but he believes the waiting room should be mindful and reverential.

My T often has Brian Eno playing in the waiting room. Other than that, I can't think of anything that reminds me of her. Except maybe Florence and the Machine and Mumford and Sons because I would listen to them a lot on the way to her office.

My T was listening to Simon and Garfunkel a few sessions ago, and I like them. Also Mozart.

"Unwell" by Matchbox 20....
and sometimes "I wanna be sedated" by the Ramones (that's her ring tone)
Twenty-twenty-twenty four hours to go I wanna be sedated....

"Every Minute" by Sara Groves

The first part of the song goes like this...

"I am long on staying
I am slow to leave
Especially when it comes to you my friend
You have taught me to slow down
And to prop up my feet
It's the fine art of being who I am

And I can't figure out
Why you want me around
I'm not the smartest person I have ever met
But somehow that doesn't matter
No it never really mattered to you at all

And at the risk of wearing out my welcome
At the risk of self-discovery
I'll take every moment
And every minute that you'll give me"
Thanks for this!

Hollywood Nights by Bob Seger.

She had been born with a face that would let her get her way,
He saw that face and he lost all control.

Listening to this song -
is like spending time with my T. He has told me several times that loves his job and feels lucky to be able to spend his days learning about people. He didn't really have to tell me. the feeling is palpable to anyone who has spent time with him in his office. Joy like that is contagious.

I don't know why because she doesn't self-disclose at all, but for therapy sessions in general I think of Toby Keith's "I Wanna Talk About Me".... funny song.

Some of those songs I've never heard and listened to now I'm a fan...awesome choices!!

Well when I was really depressed and suicidal my T sent me two songs to listen to both by Kutless one is Everything I Need and the other is What Faith Can Do

They remind me of her a lot, constantly on repeat when I miss T between sessions

Also the first verse of Every Minute by Sara Groves does as well
Thanks for this!

Hmm . . . Can anyone think of any songs about therapists hunting, fishing, or riding bicycles? If not, I'm stuck.
