Couch 47.0 (we finally debugged)

So in the last 14 hours I have baked 3 loaves of banana bread and a pan of bars, done 6 loads of laundry, washed 3 sinkfuls of dishes, uncluttered the kitchen, primed the shelving for my office, and started to tidy the living room. Oh and slept 6 hours too. So either I am being super efficient or I am headed into some not so good hyper place.... and I have to leave for work in an hour and then off to a hot date.... I am afraid I am going to crash in the middle of the date :-(

I went out to help my horse do these stretches the chiropractor said he needed after his adjustment. The thing that really touches my heart about my horses is how hard they try to do what is asked, even when it is unpleasant. The chiropractor warned me not give him pain killers because he is so young, quick and athletic that if the pain does not limit him, he will over-exert and hurt himself more. My poor baby was so sore when I went to try to help him stretch that it was hard to make myself do it. My H helped and gave my baby treats while I did the stretches with him. Anyway, the horse really cooperated once we got started and was leaning into the stretches.

It was nice of my H to help after I melted down this morning. Had this weird alternating weeping, hysterical laughing thing going on. Oh, he probably helped because he was AFRAID, huh? LOL.

I hope you're just being super efficient! By any chance, do you want to post the recipe you use for banana bread? I have three bananas going bad on my counter.

I have nothing to do today.... I could sit in this chair for days and no one would notice...lol

Its hard sometimes....for me I yo yo between being lonely and wanting to be with people to feeling smothered and pushing people away... I haven't found a balance.

You live with an army? I don't have that many clothes! I'm doing half a load of laundry and may make a single loaf of banana bread, depends on how ambitious I'm feeling when my husband decides to take his nap.

I didn't do wash for 2.5 weeks. Was running out of certain items
And for some reason I thought I would bake for Bible class this week... when I signed up life was not completely crazy. We have about 100 people at that but thankfully most of them don't snack.

Here you go MKAC. This is from a church cookbook.

2 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 c butter, softened
1 c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 mashed bananas (1.5 c)
1/2 c milk
1 c walnuts chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two bread loaf pans. Combine flour, soda, powder and salt in medium size bowl. Beat together butter and sugar in medium sized bowl until light in color. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla. Stir in flour mixture alternately with bananas and milk. Stir in 1/2 c of chopped nuts. Pour batter into prepared pans. Arrange remaining nuts on top. Bake in preheated oven 40-60 minutes until wooden pick inserted comes out clean. Cool bread in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes. Run knife around edges. Remove bread from pan and cool on rack. Bread is better next day. Wrap tightly and store at room temperature.

People still make stuff from scratch?! I'm using Pillsbury box-o-stuff :-) I did, however, buy chocolate chips and new flour last week (my container is 7+ years old, that's how often I use flour), etc. to make Tollhouse Cookies some day soon (hopefully within the next 7 years?). I still cook from scratch often, but not bake. I never was a big sweet tooth (top, third from the left, isn't it adorable? :-) and my husband doesn't need it/does well with store-bought (Oreos, etc.).

No sun completely overcast but so so quiet I love it. Just fell asleep of a bit but pro only going to rain soon

Just got back from mani/pedi and then a library trip with my son. Picked up a book I have been wanting to read for more than a decade, but never got around to it. I saw it and tossed my book list back into my purse. Michael Patrick MacDonald's All Souls. So later peeps, got some pages to turn.

I have decided to not let my T ever read the records from when I went there as a kid. After reading about how horrible I was as a kid in second grade I can see why the mother did what she did. I was a complete horror. I am sure it is all the same stuff in that. I don't want her reading and knowing all that horrible stuff. Honestly I couldn't handle yet another agreeing with the mother

Granite...I could understand that decision. Not to make light of your situation ...but to share the stupid stuff adults write about kids...

When my son was four he was evaluated by a social worker because he needed occupational therapy. The social worker wrote all of this stuff about being concerned about him..etc..etc and listed that he would rather smear mucous on his face with the back of his hand than use a tissue as one of the reason's to be "concerned"...

Today, my oldest son is a straight A student, an athlete, well liked amoung his peers adults teachers, etc. A great public speaker, etc. One of those kids people come up to you and say wow you must be a very proud mom... You know like you are of your son...

It seems adults evaluate kids like the kids are adults ....So my point is that what we are as children does not say what we will become as adults

They do get ridiculous these days; a friend's son, 20-25 years ago was in Kindergarten and put a worm down a little girl's dress during recess (in back, was chasing her with it); the school threw him out and insisted he needed to see a psychiatrist! Hello, that's what little boys do?

I would not care about my 2nd grade stuff; I had reasons then for doing what I did but I'm not in 2nd grade, not 7 anymore and have a whole lot of different problems now. I took the finger painting I did of my father with 3 legs, the middle one purple, to my T and she was quite kind, said, "It could be a tail". The idiot teacher had posted it up for parent-teacher night, labelled it as a picture of my father (I guess I told her that's what it was) and all the neighborhood parents who went early were coming home and telling my parents they'd better get up there and get the picture and teasing them about it.

My son is getting ready for his prom.... he was just 4 years old yesterday

Things have changed a lot since the days when I did not go to prom..(just starting to realize I was gay - went to a gay bar with my first openly lesbian friend who was older than I was) Much more school and parental involvement these days from what my friends tell me.
