I started therapy again after a break of a year. My first T was male and I saw him for several years. I had huge transference for him and his boundaries were slightly fuzzy.
I am seeing another male T. At the start I was very neutral with him and he has been a great help. However now I am starting to get transference and flirting with him for more attention. Why do I have to do this I see several female T with my family members and I have never got transference with them. Why do I have to sexualize my therapy setting with a male T. |

It sounds like it's a pattern that it would be useful to explore with your T. As I've learnt both from experience and from reading here is that talking about something is the only way to understand it and work through it
![]() I am working on understanding my own patterns at the moment too. It's very interesting to talk about them but frightening too. Keep posting here and good luck! ![]() ![]() |

I have been thinking about it since i posted the question and I probably just want him to like me and that is the way I can get his attention. He will like me physically as I have no confidence otherwise. This probably says a great deal about my poor self esteem
