I go twice a week, and since my T is a psychiatrist he's covered by national healthcare, so I only have to pay for approximately three sessions a year. I would not want to go more often, but neither would I want to decrease the frequency. Longer sessions would be good, though, but I don't think he offers longer sessions than 45 minutes.

I would go twice a week for 90 minutes sessions. While the cost of that isn't an issue, my T simply doesn't do 2x a week or 90 minutes sessions. She does 1x week for 60 minutes, so that's what I do. And, honestly, it may be better for my attachment that T limits sessions to 1x week.

I wished I had seen T twice a week because after I left most of my sessions I felt worse than I did going in. It was a long week in between and I had lost the rhythm when so much time elapsed. I guess my insurance would not have covered it but I don't know. I don't think T was interested in seeing me more than once a week (I did suggest it once but he didn't take to it).

Twice per week, 90 mins sessions would be perfect.
