i need some advice...im wondering if i need to change ts...... i tell her i need help with my anger problem and all she says is that i cant see u having an anger problem and then goes off and tells me a story about her family that has nothing to do wih what im trying to get her to help me with...... i mean shes really nice and friendly... just i dont feel she is helping me

Skittles, if this has happened more than a couple of times, and she's in the habit of talking about herself over you, then I would say yes, seek another t.

First, though, have you seriously discussed this with her? Even if you move on to another t, she should know that her talking about about self and not hearing clients isn't the best. It might help her other current clients, and future clients.

Good luck and let us know. I would talk with her first...try to make her hear you if you can. If you can't, then you know you tried.

I agree, even though she's nice, you're seeing her for help, and she should provide it.
And yep, definitely talk with her first. She may be completely unaware of what she's doing.

I agree that you should try talking to her honestly about how she is conducting your t. It is your time and she should be concentrating on you. I hope you are able to work things out with her. If not I would look for someone new. Good luck.

Absolutely, I agree! Try discussing this with her, and if she doesn't change her approach with you, time to find someone who will. TC of yourself!
