I saw my new shrink on Thursday, I was very impressed with her. We talked for two hours, and she said that there are definately some issues there, BUT I do NOT meet the criteria for Bipolar. That's good news.

I asked her about my diagnosis of Dysthymic Disorder, and she told me that she doesnt think that fits. I dont either. I havent had a depressive episode in a while now. I consider myself in remission. She has booked me in again for two weeks from now!

I wonder what her diagnosis is if anything. I asked her this, she said she needed a few more sessions before making any decisions.

I'll be seeing my T on Tuesday! I'm really looking forward to it. There are so many good things that I want to tell her! She was away on holidays for a few weeks, so I havent had therapy in a while.

Good for you! It sounds like the new Pdoc will take his/her time in figuring out what is your Dx. He/she may be willing to correct any mistakes in your Dx. Then he/she will probably give you the best treatment possible because he/she was willing to re-think these things.
