I was on a dating site last night and found my T had an account. That is okay but the part that worries me is that he also has a fake account. His pics but different name and different info about him. I am stunned and not sure what to think of him now. I don't think I can look him in the face again.

I would be careful as is might not be him, but someone posing as him. They stole his photos. I would report this account to the website owners and also mention to your T that you accidently came across this. i think there would be ethical guidelines re this in the US as there are in my country.

It's possible that your T isn't the one who created the account. There are a lot of "catfish" out there that use other people's pictures to create fake profiles.

I agree, I think this could be an imposter, your t would want to know about this.

I agree. You could tell him by saying, "I was looking around this dating site I joined and I was a bit shocked that I saw an account with your picture. It didn't have your name attached to it though, so I thought maybe I should tell you incase someone was trying to catfish someone using your picture or something, which I bet would be a nightmare professionally!"

I agree with the others, but I can also see how that would be quite unnerving to stumble upon.

This is true. I will report the account to the dating site. I would hate for something bad to happen to him because of someone else's trickery. I do not know if I could tell him personally though. I am too embarrassed.

When it comes to online dating, you have to be careful who you talk to though.
