Ate a couple Thanks-A-Lot girl scout cookies topped with marshmallows, heated in the microwave. Crisis averted.

Gonna get some sleep. Goodnight, couch peeps!

I do have CRS - can't remember shite. Isn't that a dangerous setup for a t, that a client has to pass them? I was trying to recall all my past t rooms - usually there is some distance.

He could easily have got smacked in the previous layout as the chairs were closer.

Anyway I feel it is a threatening setup as I feel trapped sitting in the corner. I'm going to explain this on Friday.

Yes, In this part Aust we are renowned for the number of drive-by shootings.
Anyway he is not neaar the window I am, or rather, the client is. And I'm the only client that matters anyway.
Thanks for this!

I'd have thought that if a client were actually violent it would be more dangerous for the T to be further away from the door.

Sometimes when I'm very upset as I leave, I don't shake hands with T. It's childish, perhaps, but there it is. If I had to pass him on my way out it would be impossible for me not to shake hands, I think, and that would feel like a loss of autonomy.

Comments on things from the old couch:

Lola, please take care of yourself. I worry about you.

murray, your ex inlaws are beyond belief. I hope they'll back off so you get some closure to all this.

I've been spiralling a little... Rest and chocolate are the only viable options and I wonder if that's such a good combination. Ho hum. I should make tea. (In fact, breakfast is what I need.)

I haven't read it, no. I'm thinking of reading some Iain Banks - I haven't read that many of his books for some reason. And now there won't be any more. :-(

Some - not all - of Jarre's stuff. Much - not all - of Enya's stuff. Anything by Hildegard of Bingen, Palestrina or Monteverdi. In fact, almost anything written before, say, 1650 tends to help with anxiety and make me calmer.

I do like Koop. I first listened to them because I went to school with one of the members of the band and so wanted to hear what he was up to, which just goes to show that trying new things is good for you. It's not music I listen to to feel better or calmer or happier, though.

Have you listened to The Real Tuesday Weld at all? They are awesome.

Jarre- a pioneer and under-rated genius. Though his last album was a bit pretentious, Tea and Teona (?)

Yep, Scandinavian. It's a beautiful sunny June day here. I should do some gardening, and also some work as well. Kids are always told to go out in the sunshine, when the sun is shining... I don't know if the same is true in sunnier parts of the world, mind! Anyway, a friend of mine once said that one of the signs of being a grownup is that it's permitted to be indoors when the weather is nice.
Thanks for this!

Sorry to hear you're struggling, BPA. I would think it's probably a good thing if you stay sober though, as hard as it is. Not for any moral reasons or anything, I just find that the self-loathing can really get out of hand when I'm intoxicated. (But I don't like being more than slightly intoxicated in any case, so I'm not really a good judge of this.)

Here in the tropics its not worth going outside with all the sun protection they want you put on, reminds me of getting dressed for the snow. Still if it stops skin cancer. Here in Aust there is an increase in vit D deficiency as people are so sun safety minded they rarely go out.
