Anyone in UK see this? If not or live outside UK can watch it here:

It's a look at an adolescent psych unit (may be triggering for suicide, SH, EDs and psych hospital alarms). I found it quite interesting, thought some of you might like.

Very interesting to see the differences and similarities in treatment between Britain & USA. Here they are not so nice about eating disorders, and are much faster w/ forcing treatments on people. I was tied down and a tube put down my throat then discharged a week later. It solved nothing of course. Many people here are discharged prematurely because insurance refuses to approve any more time Hospital stays are decided by paper pushers & bean counters not doctors, it's not health related only money related. But I would go nuts if I had to spend any amount of time in that place with all the halls & locked doors.

Yeah, that kind of reminds me of who I am. I am happy on the surface, trying to not let anyone know that I struggle with many negative thought patterns. I often come home feeling lonely and wishing for someone to understand me.

Hi Tiny, i remembered that you have an ED, so just thought i'd give you a trigger warning. I watched it and found it quite tough to watch in parts.

Do you know what bugs me about those places? The crap they serve up and call food. yuck. When are hospitals going to catch up with the reality that you have to feed your body and soul to feel better? Food matters, where's the salad, the colour, the taste?

Food has a direct link to behaviour so why are they serving up fried mush?

But also, some of those kids my heart just breaks for.

I was able to watch it all the way through and I thought it was brilliant.

I went to the BBC's website for this program and it shows when the next episodes are due to air in the U.K. I don't see it scheduled for broadcast on BBC America and that sucks but I did see that they have posted Episode 1 on their website. Hope they will continue to do that with Episodes 2 and beyond. I don't trust third party websites that require downloading. I've had too many viruses and hacks that way.

Exactly...I am good at looking settled, okay...but inside it is another story much of the time. And nobody seems to get it, not even my T.
