I stopped seeing her 6 months ago due to only being given a certain amount of sessions on the NHS.
I'm really struggling. I see a nurse and a psychiatrist but they don't talk to me. Just give me meds. They overreact if I tell them I have suicidal feelings and put me in hospital. She (the old T) said I could go through the service again at any point but I feel like a failure for going back. I'm seeing her next week for a focus group for London services for young people and am hoping she talks to me then and offered to see me again. What do I do? I feel so lost and pathetic asking for her help again. What if she refuses it? |

I hope everything goes okay; you will never know unless you ask her.

I doubt she would not want to see you again for personal reasons, she may be booked up at the moment though. Ask her when/how you all can get together or if she can recommend a person/way to see someone else to talk to if she's not available.
Yes, good luck! That's great you are on the panel/group helping other young people get the services they need.

Good afternoon,
"She (the old T) said I could go through the service again at any point but I feel like a failure for going back." "What do I do? I feel so lost and pathetic asking for her help again. What if she refuses it?[/quote] I am sorry u feel like a failure if u go back into therapy. I have had to go back into therapy numerous. I view it as a mental tune-up. Can you give yourself a pat on the back for taking care of yourself. It's so important for us to know when to seek help. I don't see you as a failure or pathetic. You are taking care of yourself. Regards, Sabra |
