Are any of you beginning to process it. I have just started two months ago and I see her every two weeks the way I do I is write a list of events and just tell her two at a time no details though. I just wanted to know when does it begin to feel better I carried secrets for many years

Sorry you experienced the trauma in your life. I don't think there is an easy answer. I think it depends on the person. But you have made a good start by seeing a therapist. It will just take time and a lot of work on your part. Wishing you well on your journey.

Therapy wasn't effective for me going every two weeks. I need the consistency of weekly visits to process trauma and handle the aftermath in between. Either way though, it took several months for me to start to open up. After a year, I was able to see significant progress.

You have been carrying secrets for years. It may take some time to work through the trauma.

That's the problem I been having nightmares and flashbacks in between sessions and I also believe every 2 weeks is not enough
