I think in some ways making new friendships as an adult in so much harder to navigate then when we were kids. I don't think what you are experiencing is that unusual ... that being said it isn't easy either...

Things take time to feel normal for everyone...but that isn't a reason to give up or back away...

I hope you will see that each time you go it will be easier.

This is art therapy for people with no artistisc talent... Is that how art therapy works by concentrating on the one thing you talk more freely?

I know it is just hard to keep it all in check because of my own issues .I so easily just give up and just hate people .

I just had a mani...pretty. D is using this Vinylux polish that lasts a week or so and it doesn't wreck your nails like the gel/shelac stuff does.

CE, I saw them do Quadrophenia in its entirety in 96-97. Tremendous show. Pete played an acoustic guitar due to his hearing loss. They also tossed in some greatest hits after Quad. One of my all time favorite shows.

things went ok with xT... He said now is time to take care of me... To not worry about H or the marriage... He told me that he thinks H acts like a teenager and treats me like his mother...
He recommended the shock and awe method...of boundaries...cant say what that is yet incase H is reading...

Granite - can you slow down and think of other reasons why the therapist might have cancelled? There could be something going on in her life causing this. I don't think (and remember I believe most therapists are not that super great people) that they usually are this indirect if they want to get rid of a client.

I may need extra support on the couch... the shock and awe is going to be hard on me as well. My xT warned that I will feel bad and that my H will try to make me feel bad and that I'm really going to have to fight my codependent behaviors...

that and I'm going to feel even more lonely than I do...and my bff is in the mist of a messy separation and her side dish so she's not very available... or maybe I will just feel a sense of relief...not sure
