((((MKAC)))) I am so sorry your in a tough spell. Your T is not tired of you. And, in case you are wondering, we aren't either. How is your daughter doing in that program? Feeling any better?

OMG...my son came home last night with dried duck feet...one for each dog. Lex will not put hers down, she's carrying it everywhere. She goes to drink water, she places it besides the water dish and picks it up when she's done. She slept with it. She took it on our walk this morning. Grosses me out. Ick. Poor little duck.

I am having a hard time with a IRL woman. Grant it, I am not good with girly things...but this chick sets me off. I know it's me. I'm positive it's me. I don't know why I feel this way when I am around her though. (I know, I am not being clear...but I honestly don't know how to describe it).

I would give my dogs animal product treats even when I was a serious macro-biotic vegetarian. I even cooked for them (liver brownies, salmon crispies, dried hot dogs, cooked lamb lung etc).
Dogs are attracted to the oddest things (and I am crazy enough to buy them and bring them home like it is xmas day for dogs). Now I have to go find my dogs some dried duck feet.

Wiki... is this the same woman with the 2 girls that gets on your nerves or is this different lady? I have problems with women in the 40s who talk all excited and chitter chattery like they are in middle school and a cute boy just walked by. Other than that, I'm pretty laid back.

Different woman. The one with the girls I just don't get along with because she is a selfish biotch. As a matter of fact, most don't get along with her. That ain't me...that just is.

Granite...I love you and you ain't changing that.

I get along well with most people. I don't usually get too close to women because I am not good at "girl talk". lol. Too many brothers. I got picked on a lot in school too.

Ready...I thought of you last night. My H acted like yours! I was overwhelmed so he offered to make dinner. He took my precooked beans out of the fridge and made up a batch of hotdogs and beans. He used ALL of my beans, and mixed them with the hotdogs in a yummy smelling bbq type sauce. I was smelling it and looking forward to it and when I got to the kitchen I realized that it all had meat in it. Sigh. My little niece loved it, so did my son. I had a protein shake.

Tonight I am making pumpkin gnocchi in a sage sauce. I will do a chicken in my rotisserie for the guys. I have a ciabatta sponge too, so I guess I'll make bread. Yum.

Wiki... I might not be good at "girl talk" either because I was trying to figure out what that is? clothes, purse, shoes, hair and makeup conversations? (I don't do any of that either).

I don't know Ready. That's why I'm not good at it...lol.

I didn't know about periods until I got mine.
No one told me I had to shave my legs until I got made fun of in school.
I didn't know that I needed a bra until a boy in 7th grade gave me a titty twister and called me Birtha Braless.
I have a unibrow...and I didn't know to pluck it until a bunch of girls cornered me in the girls bathroom and drew on my eyebrows with sharpie.
I figured out I needed makeup when a boy I had a crush on called me SPOT (I have lots of freckles).

So yeah...I am not good at being a girl. For a while, I even thought I was a lesbian, but sexually I was attracted to boys so I figured out that wasn't it either.

I Wish that I had Duck Feet. Didn't Dr Seuss write that?

Hello couch peeps!

Spent another day at an elementary school for work. I cancelled my T session on Thursday so that I could take on another day of work at the school. Gotta take advantage of the work when it comes my way....and since I gave T more than 24 hours notice, I don't have to pay for a missed session.

I think I would have been OK not seeing T this week....maybe even relieved. But, he had an available slot on Friday late afternoon, so I took it.

I have group T tonight. Hope it's a productive session. It's been feeling like a waste of time lately...probably because I haven't been involving myself much. Too many people in the group now - a lot of people trying to get their voice in the room - and I tend to not have much to say about what they're talking about. { shrug }

wikid - when I was 16, my sister visited North America, and when she returned she told me that the women in the family she'd staid with shaved their legs. I honestly thought she'd made it up. I have since found out that apparently it's something lots of women do here, too, though I've never been told why they do it.

Eyebrow plucking and makeup are also things that belong to a world different from the one I inhabit. Being a girl seems really tedious if it involves all those things.
Thanks for this!

It does, doesn't it? Sheesh. But I had 2 sisters who were quite a bit older than I, you would think that they would have clued me in!

Yes women here shave their legs to make them smooth and shiny. To tell you the truth, now I get a little shocked if I see a woman with hairy legs. Lol...just not the norm. It is an odd thing now that I think about it, why shave? We obviously all have body hair.

A funny little tidbit.....in my stand-up comedy act, I was talking about dating after divorce....and saying that you need to be all clean shaven - legs, armpits....mustache....(laughter) (long pause)....beard. (more laughter)....The audience got a kick out of it.

I know this is for Wiki, but I just want to agree that there is a lot involved in being a girl...which is why I choose to not be a girly girl-hair kept cut up to my ears, nailed trimmed all the way down so I don't have to polish them, and I wear sneakers and jeans almost every day to keep it as casual as possible. Also-you will never catch me in make up. I think the last time I wore make up was my wedding day 7 years ago. lol
