So I am ragingly dismissive avoidant, right? Last week I sent an email to T and referred to the two of us as "we". I made an offhand comment that I had made a specific effort to call the two of us a "we" and that I think the effort was worth a therapy gold star.

Today he met me at the door with stickers. Confused the hell out of me for a second. I now have stars on my therapy journal. Nice to have a T who sees a lot of kids.

My T told me today that I deserved gold star for something. How amazing that your T actually gave you the stars? Very cool T. Makes me smile.

In an early session with my cbt T, he used the word "we" a lot. I know he was building rapport but this "we" business ---it sometimes it didn't really work.

Here is this sleek, good looking guy telling me that as "we hit middle age, we struggle maintaining our weight."

Tried not to smile as I kept thinking, "Dude, what is this "we" you keep talking about? Do you have a chubby mouse in your pocket???"
Thanks for this!
