No clue! I started seeing my T in 2009 and i saw her weekly for 2 blocks of 16 sessions with 2 months in between.
Then i started seeing her privately in 2011 and i have had a few weeks off occasionally and also had twice weekly sessions sometimes.

So, in summary...a lot!

I've had about 45-50 sessions so far, I think. I counted a few weeks ago as I was
intrigued.

Now you guys are making me feel bad...
6,5 yrs, twice a week- so between 600-700 sessions- all paid out of pocket.
A true investment

With current T - Just over 4 years worth - varying between weekly and every other week. I'm not even going to try and figure out how many that is, but lets just say it's probably in the 200's

Exactly 48 times (in a 3 yr 10 month time period). I know because she told me in our last session a couple of weeks ago. Zero more times. Sad.

You have nothing to feel bad about.

Personally I feel I'm only just getting started and I'm pretty sure I will need a LOT more.
Thanks for this!

10 years of therapy up to 3 times a week one on one, but also many years of group (up to 10 times a week) and pdoc therapy. Now I go about once a month, and do a lot of work on my own.

Wow, you're more than welcome!...thank you for letting me know that I had some sort of impact on you! I don't know what your going through with therapy... at a crossroads? ...but I hope you push through and stay with it. You deserve recovery.

I have been seeing my current therapist for 6 1/2 years.
