Do you ever wish there was a category of greeting card for therapists? I've been feeling like my T has been helping me so much lately, and on a really deep level. I wish I could say Thank You in some way, but when I look at greeting cards, nothing seems right. The "Thank You" cards feel too formal, like something you'd send as a social obligation. "Friendship" cards, not right either. "Sympathy"... no one died. No category of greeting card for "I think you're a really great therapist and you are helping me in a way no one ever has before". I told her and she said saying it is enough... but still, I wish for some kind of appreciative gesture.
Thanks for this!

I do not have that desire but there are those blank cards with nice or funny or whatever pictures where you can write your own sentiment inside.

There are greeting cards for therapist. I just got one for this holiday season. Go to cafepress.com and do a search on therapist for greeting cards. Good luck!
Thanks for this!

I know exactly what you mean! It took me forever to find cards for my therapist. I have given her two. My friend also recently had trouble finding a thank you card for her therapist. It is hard! They are either too basic or too friendly or too mushy. I ended up using cards with quotes on the front but blank inside for both of the ones that I gave to my T.

Good luck finding one! It will take some time, but you'll find the right one. I think it is so great and kind of you to thank your T. I don't think they are thanked enough.... People are quick to complain and blame and not so quick to thank appropriately, in my opinion.
Thanks for this!

I have the complete opposite reaction. I think way too many people are way too quick to want to give therapists cards and thank yous and such. So much so that it seems they actually make cards for this purpose. I don't think the therapist gets the credit if the client thinks they are better.
There is no reason for this in my opinion. The therapist gets paid and they are not even clear about what it is that they actually do.

I find it fascinating that cafe press has cards specifically for therapists.

This is not the same, but I got my T a sympathy card when a family member of her's died. She was really appreciative of it. I just thought, like you think, that she deserved that much in the sense that I was thinking about her and her family during that rough time and a card was the best gesture. I like the idea that yobeth gave you about cafepress..I would check that out first and if you can't find anything there I would suggest googling greeting cards for therapists or cards for therapists and see if you can find anything that way.

Hi Purplejell, I'm glad you feel good about your T and you want to express your gratitude, how wonderful! I saw some on etsy a while ago. I'm sure your T will be so happy to have your card. I make my own cards for T because I am really picky and want them to be very personal. Whatever you decide it will be great, it's the thought that counts!

That's what I would do. There are so many card making materials in crafting stores. Look for them by the scrap booking things!

I use to have fun finding a card for my T for the "regular" holidays! It was interesting coming up with a good Mother's Day card, for example

I often do creative things like making my own cards... but had forgotten this as an option. I'm a bit "artistically blocked" right now so that's why I was looking for one already made. Thanks for the feedback everyone.
