OP - what could the therapist do to make you think she was on your side, if that is something you desire from therapy?
I don't see how someone could help me if I didn't believe they have my best interest at heart.

My current two Ts haven't.
My ex-T and I had a few ruptures, but he went out of his way to fix them. One of them caused me to miss 3 weeks of therapy, which equaled 6 sessions and about 6 vms from him asking me to at least call him back so we could talk. I can be really stubborn sometimes.

Yes. I was so shocked that I didn't even challenge T. It was a sign of things to come, unfortunately.

Can you talk to your therapist about it?

But you had such a great session the other day! Was it related to what you divulged?

No, it was separate, there's a thread I made called "What to do with this" which is the issue

Mine did once. It was a horrible session, she yelled at me, I yelled at her, I was bawling, I felt abysmal for days after and I almost quit then & there. But I decided I'd put so MUCH work into this therapy thing and to give her another chance and we talked it out and I ended up doing some really important shadow work out of the whole mess and working through it strengthened our therapeutic relationship and our work together was even more valuable after that and led to my eventual 'graduation' from therapy.
