(suzzie: for some reason your question about what it means when a therapist types in small print shows up in a completely different format than this forum and can't be replied to. Anyone else seeing what I'm seeing? I've never run into that before. I didn't want you to think no one was replying, so I'm taking the initiative to place your question here. I hope you don't mind."

suzzie asked: "what does it mean when a t uses small print

in an email. i am looking for a t. as my last one let me go. i emailed this a couple times. and today in her reply she wrote the first couple words in small. and then the remaining in regular. did i make her mad."

I suspect the font just changed somehow as she was typing and she didn't even realize it. Sometimes weird things like that just happen. I would completely doubt it has any meaning.

Thanks, Chris - I see the same thing and thought my browser was acting up on me.

In any case, that's an excellent illustration of how sometimes Internet communication looks weird for unknown tech reasons. suzzie, I am 100% sure that the change in font means absolutely nothing. The T clicked something without meaning to, or her email software was misbehaving. Things like that happen all the time and mean nothing at all.

I think it is a tech glitch because a couple of weeks ago I opened my T's email on the web app and the font was really large and I thought he was shouting at me and was angry when I opened it up on the windows Outlook on PC it was normal formatting.
Thanks for this!

Suzzie, it just crossed my mind. Is it possible the glitch is coming from whatever device you are working on rather than a problem on her end? I wonder that since apparently something odd happened with your last post. You might try to post something else here and ask whomever is reading if they are seeing your post in normal format or if something looks really different about it. You might try turning off and restarting your technology to see if that corrects the problem, or use a different browser. Might fix things, or maybe this was just a odd, random glitch. Hard to know.

(((suzzie))) Please rest assured that if a T is upset with you, they will talk about with you.
They would be direct, and not act out on their feelings by doing something such as sending an email with strange looking fonts. Rest assured that you don't have to guess what your therapist is feeling, because he/she will talk with you and time you have a question about what the therapist is feeling, and you can share with them the feeling that you have (that they are upset with you).
Thanks for this!

I think the same. The font I use has shown up as a different font on someone else's computer. Definately a computer techy problem, not to worry.

I don't think any T would ever do something so passive-aggressive as to change the font to freak you out on purpose. Sounds like a tech glitch.

If it makes you feel any better, my T once made the most awful typo. I wrote him an email about my dad and he replied saying: "I'll read this before I see you next," but his iPad changed it to: "I'll dad this before I see you next." Oops...

My email has automatic setting to teeny weeny unreadable (it seems a trend lately... facebook changes font to smaller and smaller). I usually use larger font, but sometimes i don't change the setting or sometimes it changes back accidentally.

probably a bug, just like the original thread (how fitting, eh!)

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
