My T said she mostly does one hour appointments, so I would guess around 6 - 8 as she is in private practice and sometimes does night hours.

My therapist is semi-retired, so I am typically her only client of the day, she will sometimes see 1-2 others.

If I recall correctly, she told me that the therapists at my college see about 3 to 5 students per day.

Eight if he actually has a client every work hour, but generally he has an opening or so a day, particularly in the middle of the day when people have trouble leaving work to get to appointments. On average, I'd be it is more like 6 or 7.

My old t used to really cram them in. Every 45 minutes with no time in between so she would see a lot.

I think it's terrible if a T crams in appointments - when do they get time to centre themselves, write notes, process the session and get in the zone for the next client?

My T takes at least 15 minutes between appointments. No idea how many clients he has, but he does sessions at 8.15am and at 6.15pm, so probably quite a few.

It really bothered me that she crammed them in. I felt like she was sacrificing the treatment to make more money. She would usually be running late. She would often let you in her office then leave to go to the bathroom or return a phone call.

Exactly this.
My T starts work at 9am and ends at 9pm. I think that she has a 2 hour break in the afternoon (from 3pm-5pm) if she has a lon g day like that.
She doesnt always work so late and start that early on the same day (so if she has a late booking she'll start at 11am, and will finish at 5pm if she started at 9am).

I don't know, I never asked, and I doubt she would have told me anyway.

She tends to only (on most days) have 4-6 hours available to be scheduled and they usually get mostly booked up so, i'd say 3-5 clients a day? I know she works somewhere else though, and does some extra T training so she still has a lot on her plate even if that's the right number.

No idea, though I've wondered about it sometimes. I asked my ex-T once, and she said that 6 in a day was ideal for her.

At most, she would have 6. My guess is it is either 5 or 6 every day, rarely less than that and never more.

Since she is gone the past two years for her family emergency she said i am the only one she has regular contact with. There are only a couple of old clients who she still talks to, nd thats only a couple times a year, her move was too hard for them to stick with her through.

2 days a week my T starts at 9 and ends at 8pm So, if she schedules them straight through...and if they all show up... On those days that means she would see up to 11. One every hour. Again, that's pending she schedules straight through...and everyone shows. On other days I think sometimes she starts at 9 or 10 and ends anywhere between 2pm and 5pm. So on those days if people are scheduled straight through then anywhere between 6-8. Often times somebody don't show...so she will get free time..

Some days my T has 10 people back to back. Some days she does testing so doesnt have as many. Usually Fri I am her only appointment unless she has an emergency with someone.

With my T, I think it varies by day. I know that on Mon, Tues, and Thurs, she works 9 to 3 and on Weds she works 9 to either 6 or 7. I know that she usually has an hour break around lunch time, but will sometimes schedule appointments during that time.

So, 4 or 5 clients on Mon, Tues, Thurs, and maybe up to 8 clients on Weds.

She has enough workload that it's difficult to book times with her outside of my standing appointment, unless I do it several weeks in advance.

I know it varies from day to day because when I see her in the afternoon, she's often just getting to the office. She sees some people like me for 90 minutes but I'm not sure how many. She used to work only 3 days a week but I think now she works more. She did tell me once, when I asked, that she sees about 20 or 25 clients in all.

My T is not a morning person so she does all administrations things in the morning. I would say she has 5 scheduled but only sees about 4.

My old t would have her first apt around 8:30 in the morning and her last apt around 6:30 in the evening. She would have a client for an hour, then an hour off, etc. So about 5-6 per day I'm thinking. She was in private practice. It was really nice because I could always find an apt time at the last minute, if need be, and she always had openings.

The t I have now seems to cram in her clients back to back. I have a very hard time finding room to make an apt, if I can't make my usual time. As of right now, my apt time is at 7 in the evening. There wasn't anything else earlier. It makes me wonder if she's really able to keep on top of everything with such a busy schedule.

No idea. I'm going to guess between five and eight per day.

My T's first appt of the day is at 8:30, each appt is 1 hour back to back until at least 12:30. I'm not sure if she takes a break or not, but her last appt is at 6:30.

As for writing notes, my T always writes them during the session, so that's not a big deal.
