My T has marroon and taupe walls, and it always smells like vanilla in there, it's always so safe and warm and gentle to me in there, I wish I could live there

My T's office is kind of messy and smells like an old book store (which I love) He also keeps his office a bit dimmer... No screaming bright lights.

It is very "him". Wood and dark leather, nature artwork on the walls, etc. He's very outdoorsy, so it fits with his personality.

I really like my T´s therapy room I would not even call it office because it doesn´t look like one at all. It is more like a nice living room with a white sofa, two comfy chairs and small coffee table. There are some paintings on tha walls, big tall mirror and one empty frame which is interesting...and few other peices of furniture. She has her office table with pc and chair on the other side of the room.
The place gives me a good vibe. It is light, optimistic (colours) and really comfortable. It really is "my cup of tea". But we do have very similar taste with my T so ....

I love it. It's kind of soft, calm and natural. The walls are kind of a turquoise colour and it's really calming, and there are lots of plants, cushions and absolutely no information - no books, posters or anything with words on, which makes it a very peaceful place. It smells of something incense-y, I'm not sure what, maybe sandalwood?

Since I started going to T, I've started to love the colour turquoise having not really noticed it before.

I really like my T's office. She has 2 soft couches, a stained glass window, and some interesting antiques that I would have chosen for my house. She is in private practice out of her house.

I don't like ts office in her house, I liked her office better. Her house scares me, it's old and creepy.

I am not a huge fan of his office. The waiting room is in browns with these little pops of orange -- fake orange flowers (but high quality ones) and orange in a painting on the wall. The actual office is okay -- very neutral. The couch is built for Amazonian people and is very awkward and uncomfortable for those of us who are short. Most of the decorations do not seem like him. There are a couple of items that do -- a seashell, a cool little house thing, etc. T admitted that his wife decorated the office and chose the furniture (she is hugely tall), except for a few items. I guessed which ones he chose and I was right. [Although a couple were gifts from clients that he chooses to display.]

My t office is small, but cozy and comfortable a huge window overlooking a small river with lots of trees, occasional traffic, theres her computer desk and her chair, but she doesnt sit behind a desk which is great, there are no couches, which is great too, not a fan of sofas, there are three chairs some end tables and table lamps, no bright lights, a book shelf with psych books of course and another shelf with coloring books and some legos and kids stuff, she uses it for clients (adults) she believes in the inner child alot. The room smells of her lotion which I love.

My t just got his floor replaced, as it was pretty wavy. It looks gorgeous now. He also got a new rug, which I was teasing him about yesterday, as the old rug from Ikea still shows up on Monk reruns with somebody getting killed on it every couple of months. which is always very exciting for me: "there's t's rug!" I shout to nobody in particular.

I could not describe the office other than the therapist sits in a chair across from the couch where clients sit and there is a table in between. The couch is horrible to sit one and I would prefer a chair. I don't remember the colors or if there are pictures or anything like that. I remember that she described her office as warm and comfortable once and I laughed.

My T has two shelves of toys and some art stuff. For some reason I always want to stop and look at the toys but I don't, I just go past.

I feel my T's office not as nice as it could be. The building is old and beautiful but kinda run down. The actual office is cosy and softly lit and the furniture is kinda eclectically shabby chic (emphasis on the shabby ) I do like it tho, it has a calmness to it.

Wait, what? He got a new rug and it's not from IKEA?

My T's office is on the top floor of a building; the final flight of steps is a spiral staircase that leads straight into his office without any extra door. The office door is at the bottom of the staircase, and it's locked (if you try to open it from the outside - it opens from the inside). That gives me a tremendous feeling of security. The room itself has a high ceiling with bare rafters (which I look at when I'm lying on the couch) and a skylight, neutral white walls, and a brick floor with some rugs on it. I like the room very much, and I frequently picture myself there when I feel anxious or down.

Her 'office' is a glorified shed at the bottom of her garden It is much nicer than it sounds!
She is a bit of an alternative/hippy person, so its filled with ornaments, books, blankets draped over chairs etc. I love it!

I actually have a photo on my phone of her office, and i look at it when i feel distant from her, it really helps. She doesnt know i have the photo, i took it when she popped up to her house to get some tea bags one day.

The main thing that ways strikes me is how neat it is. He doesn't have a piece of paper out on his desk. He needs some art work on the walls. I might suggest it. Maybe he needs his wife's touch.

My t has a huge toy basket by the door. I would lust after it, thinking, "those toys are for other children, not for me." Took me a couple of years.

I don't know what t's office looks like now, she has an office in her house since she moved a year ago. But her office here in town where I used to see her? I loved it. I thought it was "too white" at first, but I grew to appreciate it. Very calming, very cozy, had the same smell as the waiting room, sort of an old-wood smell or something. I don't know. But I loved it. And I miss it sometimes.

what i miss most about her office is the shelves and shelves full of sand play figures!! I have barely any with my own sand tray at home, need to add to my collection. How I grew to love doing sand trays in her office when she was still in town. Damn, I miss "the good old days" sometimes.

Lol You're not a mathematician, are you?!! We haven't said anything about the provenance of the new rug. To me, yes, it does look Ikea-like. But it seems intrusive to ask. The only reason we know that the old one is Ikea is because it was the same pattern as the one before it, only it was grey on black instead of black on grey. I said it looked like a negative photograph of the previous rug, then he allowed how he had purchased both at Ikea. It looked like a mathematician's rug, btw!

One of the positive credits I give the one I see is that she has no visible toys or stuffed animals. She has never reacted like it is the compliment I mean it to be when I tell her. I have had to explain I am trying to be reasonably nice when I say that to her.

My personal Ts office is in a medical office. He does his best to make it comfy, but it's still pretty clinical. His is the only office with two windows, so it always has just the right amount of light. If I want it darker or lighter, he'll accommodate for my needs. Goes with my mood that day I guess. It's really nice. His desk is almost always a mess. LOL

My ED T is in an eating disorders clinic that was recently remodeled in all earth tones and is a warm and comfy office. The chair I sit in, isn't very comfy though, but now that I've been sitting there since May, I hate to change my routine. I should really try out the couch. Maybe this week I'll do just that. LOL
