So I called my pharmacy with regards to scripts my pdoc was supposed to call after he sent them. Oh they got the the scripts but I got no call!!! ********e!!!! I dont hate him but he should've called even if it was an office person. What a jerkoff. I am seriously calling my gp to see if he will prescribe them until I find a pdoc i am comfortable with. I am so over dealing with him.

In my experience I have never had a dr who calls me to tell me he has sent it in. I have always had to just call and check with the pharmacy so I wouldn't take it personally.

I've never had a pdoc (or any doc) call me after calling in my scripts. I don't think a doc ever makes the call, it's usually their staff and in my experience all doc office staff are horribly bad at their job. I went through a similar thing recently. pdoc said they'd call in my scripts, I called the pharmacy the next day, nothing. I called the docs office, they forgot, said they'd call it in that day. Next day I show up at the pharmacy assuming it's done, nothing. So, I email the pdoc and say what gives basically, well the problem was his front office staff being incompetent.
Thanks for this!

I know you are going thru a rough time but I find it good to keep some perspective then so as not to make things even harder for myself. Ask yourself if this will matter at all in a few years. If not, then try not to sweat the small stuff in life. It helps me a lot to stay focused on the big picture and what is important to me so I can keep moving forward in life. I do hope things calm down for you soon.

I've never had a doctor personally call be about having called in a prescription (nor his office either). I simply call the pharmacy to see if the prescription is ready (actually they call me most of the time). Is it possible what he said was that he was going to call them in? Not that he was going to call you personally? That is the usual routine. It seems odd that he would do that.

Walmart has a texting system to let you know when a med is ready and how much is the cost ... I love it .

That's what Walgreens does too. Very helpful.

It sounds extremely annoying to have to wait for a doctor to call in a script before you can get your medication. I'm sorry your pdoc let you down.

I´m confused. Why do you need a call? Is it from the doctor or the pharmacy? If you knew he sent in the prescribtion in right away, whats the real issue then?
