It means, to me, that when I'm in a tough spot, I'd be able to take what therapy has taught me and be able to apply it to my life WITHOUT the need for a session or contact with my therapist.

This term has changed for me, and I agree with the others who have posted. But currently it means to remember the relationship with my T from the beginning to now, and to hold the image of her as a person worthy of being trusting and vulnerable around due to how she has treated me in the past.

It means showing kindness, caring, compassion and understanding towards myself instead of emotionally abusing myself inside my own head.
