i wish i could see my t

I know it is no surprise. she is out of the office because of holidays and so I wont see her until the 7th. I am sure it is because she is away that I wish she was here but I just have a lot on my plate that is worrying me.

I am having a lot of chest pains and am now under the care of a cardiologist . it started with an abnormal ekg and now a bad stress test . the things the doc that did the stress test said kind of scared me. I hate doctors and am scared. just though maybe if I came here I could say something and just feel better and get on with things. I just want to be able to talk with her about how I am scared. last time I had to go see the cardiologist I said I hated him and doctors and she simply said cant you just be scared instead of hating and anger. it just made sense. she told me I could just tell the doc that I am scared and maybe it would be ok. I did this and he made me laugh. I liked him but this other doc was mean and a bit to direct and im scared and not trusting him and don't see the other one until the 7th. I tried to tell him I was scared and all he said was that this was real . no **** im the one feeling the chest pains. I want someone like my T to tell me it is ok to be scared and make me laugh about it and that it is ok

I'm sorry you're going through this I am very scared of going to see any doctors because I hate the attention and I've also had many bad experiences. I always say I hate doctors/dentists, but I like how your T asked why not just say you're scared instead. That's a nice idea. But I don't like going at.all and will put off regular care for literal years....I know that's not good so I'm trying to be more proactive and force myself to go.

Anyway, I'm sorry that one doctor had such a crappy bedside manner I've run into many of those, both doctors and nurses. It's definitely not you, it's him! This is scary and I would be scared too. Are you allowed to email/call your T? This seems like a really hard time

my arms and parts of my body are very scarred .and I hate when I am asked about them.so of course the tech who was taking my pressure had to comment and made me feel so ashamed

Granite, I am so sorry about your health issues. I hope you can find a doctor you are comfortable with and can get all the issues figured out and fixed. Thinking of you and praying for you.

God I sure know what you mean... Like come on doc we both know what the scars are from. Have a little empathy and just pretend they're not there...

(((((((granite)))))))) I get really scared with anything going on with my heart as well; and really really don't like insensitive doctors or medical staff hard enough anyway without that going on

does remember what your T said last time help at all with this time .... thinking of her saying it and knowing that it's ok to do all of this scared?
