Today was the day I usually had my therapy session & I'm missing my T as we terminated last week for good. I've been thinking about him a lot and missing him, it feels SO alone without the sessions and my T

I'm so grateful for the support on PC as the community is so nice and really understands , it would be much harder if I was going through this on my own without people who understand. I will eventually (in a few months) go onto group therapy but its hard knowing I will NEVER see my lovely T again.

So sorry! For me, it really is one of the worst things to cope with. I had a final session with a therapist last week too and I'm feeling really sad about losing someone I really liked and enjoyed, who was particularly easy for me to connect with. I think it's incredibly difficult to form an attachment and have a good therapeutic relationship only to be cut off completely at the end. It's okay to feel sad right now. It is a loss. I hope this painful stage doesn't last too long for you and that you'll soon be able to look back and appreciate the good things that you experienced because of the unique nature of the therapeutic relationship.

An old t., the best I had, showed up in a couple of dreams lately---I am going through major changes but, you know, it has been years since I have seen said t., but it made me feel better to "see" him, he was just looking on from a distance; it helps me feel that I am doing the right thing. Your t will be with you, in some way, always.

I just wanted to say I understand...my ex-T terminated with me and I still miss him. It's very hard when you have grown attached to someone and you won't be able to see them again.
Hugs to you.
