I haven't had appointment with the psychologist I have had/ used since about 2006 for about a year or longer. I have been feeling low with quite a lot of negative chatter in my head.
I mentioned to my husband that I was considering going to see someone but maybe not that particular therapist. My husbands reply was to say he thought I am managing well and doing well with self care ,exercising etc which was a compliment but he also suggested that I wanted to 'stir **** and discuss our personal life.' Maybe I will concentrate on self help and consider further.
Any suggestions?

If you need to talk to a T, then go do it. No one else should tell you what to do.

If you feel you need to see someone, then do it, you have recognised you need a little help. I would go and find a T if that's what you feel you need xxx

If you feel like you need a T, go for it. Only you can decide as only you know what your truly feeling. If your husband loves you, he will also, only want the best for you. And if the best is a T, then so be it.

It's better to be safe then let it spiral out of control.
